Possible to be too Busy!

So sorry it has been awhile since our last post! Life has been VERY busy! An update on the local Farmer's Market.....we are in!!! We are alternating weekends with a local business that sells beautiful handcrafted paper goods! Dawn from Bella Boutique Invitations was so kind to invite us to share her space! Our first weekend will be June 12 so we are busy gearing up for that!

AND...also very excited to share the news that we have got a wholesale order! A knitting supply shop has asked us to produce a line of knitting bags for their online store! As soon as we are online with those products we will send you the link to have a look!

It never rains but it pours! Along with all this great news...I have hired a personal trainer 3 times a week so that is keeping me busy...and SORE at the same time!

If you haven't checked out our shop lately...we have listed some brand new flowers that make the most unique candle holders or wall decorations! These are available in a variety of different designs and colors! Feel free to email us at joanne@joandjimmy.com

So that's it for now! Promise to update more often!!!!

New Logo!

After a long and somewhat stressful journey, we have finally come up with our new logo! Special thanks to Deidamiah for her patience!

We would love to hear your thoughts on our new logo! We are also including a picture of the banner we are using in our Etsy and Zibbet shops! We are loving the way our Zibbet shop is look as we are able to customize colors, etc.!

An update on the Farmer's Market...it opens this weekend and word on the street is they have more vedors booked than they have room. So not looking to good for Jo and Jimmy. There are other markets in the area but will not get the traffic that the Bentley market does.

Online sales continue to be slow however we are getting a bit of a following in the local area! Perhaps our pictures are not doing our products justice! What do you think?!

So that is our latest update! Let us know how business is going for you! Have a tip you'd like to share? Leave a comment...better yet...be a guest blogger!!!!

Oh What to Say?!

I've been thinking about my next entry for a few days now! Nothing too crazy is happening with Jo and Jimmy right now! We are nearing completion on our new logo and we are very excited! Hope to reveal it by the end of the week!

Waiting to hear from the local farmer's market to see if they will be able to squeeze us in this year! If not, perhaps we will set up a table on the street corner!!!!! lol

I've been busy increasing our product line and have created some pretty cute booties this week! Here is my latest!

I am trying to get a number of different styles and size ranges and once that is done, I hope to go after a few wholesale orders! Would love to hear everyone's ideas and suggestions for doing this! Also some lessons learned!

So thats all from Jo and Jimmy! Promise to post our new logo soon! Check back in a few days!!!

A Bump in the Road

First off, thank you so much for those of you that have chosen to follow our new blog! We are so happy to have you and look forward to reading your comments!

It has been a busy week around here! Jimmy works for a diamond mine in the Northwest Territories so he has gone to work for two weeks, that leaves Little Man and I to hold down the fort!

I have been busy working on the re branding of our company. I hope to be able to reveal the new logo in my next post! Stay tuned!

I hit the first bump in our journey today! We were planning on taking part in the local Farmer's Market this summer however I found out yesterday that they are full! There is a chance that they might be able to fit us in but we won't hear until next week sometime! Keeping our fingers crossed!

We had our second sale on Zibbet this week which was exciting! We sold this handbag the same day we listed it! We are loving Zibbet as we only pay one flat fee per month!!! No percentage of sales or listing fees! If you are interested in signing up with Zibbet for your online shop, they have a great referral program that I hope you will take a look at!

We are continuing to work on our Etsy shop....views on our products have been satisfactory however we are still hoping to increase our sales there!

I am planning on expanding our product line to include more adult footwear, belts and lots more infant accessories! Have ideas of things you'd like to see? We'd love to hear from you!

Again, thanks for reading! If you are enjoying the read, we'd love you to pass our blog along to your friends and followers!

Stay tuned!!!!

Welcome!

We have finally found the time to put together our blog! First off, let me introduce us! My name is Joanne and I'm the "Jo" in Jo and Jimmy! My husband, see above, is obviously the Jimmy! We decided to put this blog together as a means to catalogue our journey with Jo and Jimmy!

What is Jo and Jimmy you ask? It is my lifelong dream and passion! We specialize in creating handcrafted footwear and accessories. From the time I was a little girl, I have had the creative bug! I can thank both my Mother and Father for this as each one came from very creative families!

My husband Jimmy has been able to give me the opportunity to pursue my dream of having my own company. He is very supportive and I am sure you can expect to read some interesting blogs from him and about him!

We won't promise the world with this blog but we will promise to give you the ups, downs, joys, sorrows, triumphs and disasters of owning ones own business. Throw in the fact that I am a Work at Home Mother of a 25 month old boy, rest assured you will read some humorous antidotes!

So on behalf of Jimmy, our son Rodney and myself, we welcome you to journey along with us as we embark on this adventure!
